Mountains Of Faith - Part I

Posted on January 11, 2008 - Filed Under Uncategorized

In the Word of God, in the Book of Luke, Chapter 18:1-5, a story is told of a widow who kept coming to see a judge who neither feared God nor regarded man. She was seeking vindication from her adversary. The story says that he refused her for a while, but said because this widow bothers me, I will vindicate her or she will wear me out by continually coming. Unlike the judge who neither feared God nor regarded man, we are regarded by our God, and will not wear Him out by continually coming to Him. In Chapter 18:6-8, we are given His assurance. And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. “And will not God vindicate His elect, who cry to Him day and night? Will He delay long over them? I tell you, He will vindicate them speedily. Never the less, when the Son of man comes, will He find faith on earth?

In the world today, is faith holding? Are we being vigilant in prayer for our faith? As religion becomes a mere formality and worldliness seems to becomes more victorious on a daily basis, will Jesus be able to find faith when He returns?

Although we may often have to wait in obedience as God works, our faith believes that the answer is coming. Our faith is often tested in this way and only becomes stronger and more secure.

As we continually pray for our faith we are inspired by His ability to do for us. In the Word of God, Jesus declares in Matthew 28:18 “All authority in Heaven and on Earth has been given to me”. By having faith in His ability to deliver our needs, He is able to do His will in our lives and He will build our faith continually.

I believe Jesus will be able to find faith when He returns as we prayerfully and vigilantly keep our candles burning.
