Are We Really Free

For those who live in Democratic First World Nations, they will often say, I live in a free country and I am free. But are they really? Should we question this, analyze it and study it, or should be just feel lucky and accept everything the way it is?
It is my opinion that we should question freedom in democracies, because if one gives up their life’s purpose or endeavors for that of the whole, and by social contract agrees to this before the vote, they are not free, but following the whole, the mob or the cluster.
