What Is Conversational Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a technique that is normally used for medical purposes to improve or alter a person’s behavior, for instance those who want to stop smoking can take a stop smoking hypnosis to help them. The reason it is so powerful is because hypnosis is usually induced by a person whose suggestions are readily acceptable by others.
Conversational hypnosis on the other hand is a series of strategies and manipulations that would get people around to your point of view without their knowledge, the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear this is that it should be illegal but actually it is not. Hypnosis is a lot more than using a swinging chain and putting someone into a trance, an individual using this kind of hypnosis gets people to do what he wants using the power of suggestion.
The principles of conversational hypnosis were first conceived by the great hypnotist Milton Erickson. He believes that if you try to give people direct suggestions or you try to induce them into a trance state you might face resistance. He prefers to use rapport, indirect suggestions, and confusion to induce trance states and influence compliance from others.
For instance one of the techniques is to tell people to do more of what is not working, someone who is trying to smoke might be encouraged to keep smoking. The idea here is that the person would be so confused by this suggestion that he would not want to smoke anymore.
Putting people under hypnosis using a conversation is not illegal, Men do this all the time to get women to fall in love with them and marketers use it to convince people to buy their product.
