Who Cares What the World Thinks?

Father’s day comes around and the whole world thinks that you should praise your father, thank y our father, and give your father a wonderful card, gift and anything else related.   Hallmark praises all fathers and then manufactures tremendous gifts to sell to everyone. And on father’s day, thousands all over the country celebrate. And father, dad, he is king for the day. And, sometimes rightfully so, he takes the spotlight on father’s day. 

Some fathers are horrible!

But what happens when the father is a horrible person? What happens when the father is a very selfish individual? What happens when the father is a no-good for nothing person who wants everything for himself and wants nothing for his children? What happens when the father is not an honorable person? What happens when the father is a active drug addict or an active alcoholic -whose habits upset the family, divide the family and harm the family on a daily basis. What happens then on father’s day? 

Are You A Pretend Father?

Does the family put aside all the harm that this father does every single day and praise this father on father’s day, just so the world thinks that everything is normal? Sometimes that happens.   And sometimes when that happens that helps this selfish father to continue to be a totally self-consumed, uncaring individual.

If you have a father who is a creep. Oh, pardon my language but isn’t what I described above, creepy? Yes, it is creepy and more than that in the worst way.   So if you have a father who is a creep, do not feel guilty if you do not buy a present for him or get a card for him. Yes, yes, everyone spouts about forgiveness. But bottom line is that you can forgive this father on father’s day and just wish him a happy father’s day if you want to do so. But nothing obligates you to buy a present or card for him. Absolutely nothing obligates you to do so.

Why I Write This Article: 

This article is not about my father but about other fathers that I have noticed around.  I happened to love my father, and one day I will write an article that is just about him.  But today, I write this article about those selfish, horrible fathers who have no love in their hearts.

I write this article so that all the children all over the world, the ones that have creepy fathers -will know and understand that they do not have to buy a card or present for any creepy fathers. That is correct. Do what your heart tells you is correct.   DO not spend your money on creepy fathers. Let them be normal first. Let them get adjusted and put their selfishness away first. Let them be fathers first!! Then and only then , will there be time for you to buy a card and present if you wish to.   Never let any creepy father make you feel guilty if you do not purchase a gift for them. 

So there you go, you have permission to ignore father’s day. Ignore to your heart’s content. Do what is right. And sometimes, ignoring father’s day is just the right thing to do .
