7 Ways To Promote Your Website For Massive Traffic

In the search for your online home based business, you’ve finally found products or services to sell online and you’ve got a website up, what do you do? That’s the million dollar question right there. An online home based business website is just a tiny speck in the large ocean called the Internet. Unless you can get people to come to your website, you won’t get any business at all. Let me say that again, unless you can get people to come to your website, you won’t get any business at all. What I’m going to show you is seven different advertising methods that will draw massive targeted traffic to your site and quickly help you build your online home based business. Using any one of these techniques can help you build your online home based business quickly and help you generate a steady income.
Method 1 - Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
One of the most effective and simplest ways to quickly generate traffic is to have a high ranking on the search engines. This is the most effective way because it is literally FREE when you have your website setup correctly. Search engine optimization involves finding highly targeted keywords and cleverly placing these keywords within your website to allow the search engines to be able to find your website and rank it with the millions of other sites on the Internet. It also involves having unique one way links that point back to your website as part of the criteria to rank your website. This latter method will be discussed in the second part of this article. To optimize your search engine, just type in “search engine optimization” in Google and you’ll find a host of resources that will give you more information.
Method 2 - Ezine Article Submissions
Ezine article submissions, what I’m doing right now, are another great way to promote your website. This can also literally be for FREE, but will involve a bit of work. Basically you need to write targeted articles to submit to online ezine article directories. These directories host numerous articles with various subject matter. The way you can use this to advertise is by adding your signature with your website link to every article you submit so that you can have one way links back to your site. This is also a method to help you with your search engine rankings as mentioned in method 1 earlier. This method will bring you targeted traffic for many years as people performing searches online will find your articles and click on your link long after you submit them, can you see the power in this? Method 3 - Join Forums and Refer Your Website To Other Members
Joining forums is another great FREE method for referring traffic to your website. You need to be an active forum member to benefit from these, by being an expert in your product and providing useful information to other forum members is the key to building trust and confidence in them and bring you business. Other people can view your messages in these forums as you include your signature with your website link attached to every message you type. Again, this method will bring you traffic for years as well as anyone performing searches online will come across your messages and if it is useful information to them, they will click on your site.
Method 4 - Blogging Your Way To Success
Most people probably have used blogs at one time or another, but if you don’t know what blogging is, according to Wikipedia.org, “A blog is a website, usually maintained by a individual, with regular entries of commentary, description of events, or other material such as graphics or video.” With that, you can easily write informed commentaries and post big events on your website to promote sales, grand openings and other subjects of interest to draw traffic to your site. As with Ezine Articles and Forums, you can draw traffic to your site with a personalized signature which includes your website link attached.
Method 5 - Using Google AdWords To Catapult Your Traffic
If you’ve ever done a search on Google, I’m sure that you have seen the links that are posted on the far right side of screen or sometimes even a separated screen above the free search results. These links are part of Google’s paid advertising for people that would like to have a showing on Google’s main search pages. Google AdWords is basically pay per click advertising. This advertising method charges you each time someone clicks on your link. The more popular a word, the more expensive it will be. Therefore, to make this method highly effective for the beginner advertiser, I recommend choosing highly targeted keywords or keyphrases that do not charge an arm and leg per click, this way, you can maximize your advertising dollars. Method 6 - Offline Advertising
Offline advertising is one of those overlooked areas for online businesses. The reason I say this is because people are so focused on marketing their website online, that they overlook offline advertising. Basically, you can utilize classified ads in newspapers or Nifty Nickel papers to advertise in, create business cards, generate brochures, door hangers, radio, television and other offline methods to generate targeted traffic to your site. Find out what offline advertising works for you and target that method to bring traffic to your site. If you like the idea of classified ads, most papers have online websites that you can visit and details for offline advertising can be found on those sites. If you want to do brochures, business cards and door hanger advertising, perform a search on Google and you can find a host of sites that will create offline advertising media for you.
Method 7 - Word Of Mouth
Method 7 involves people in your circle of influence. Your circle of influence is the people you see everyday, friends, family and relatives. If you got a great website with quality products and services, what’s a better way to start selling than to people you know. You can simply tell people about your website by word of mouth or email them about your site and chances are, they are more likely to buy from you because they trust in you. This method has a sort of snowball effect as the more people you tell, they will spread the word to their friends and families and so forth. Can you see the power in that?
