They also have an opportunity to identify with your style. Sometimes you’ll buy an e-book and you just don’t like the way it’s written. You just don’t like the tone in which it’s written. It’s too nurturing for you, or it demanding for you, or it’s too aggressive for you, or it’s too simple for you. That gives you a low-risk opportunity to say, “You know, I really don’t like this person. This guy’s too nice,” or “I really don’t like this person.

That person’s too aggressive,” or whatever the case may be. What happens is, the people that trust you after buying the book, they believe you and some percentage of those people will really like your style and they begin to bond with you and they really begin to believe that you can help them continue to solve their problems and at that point, you’re able to query those individuals, “What are you looking for next? What do you need now?” because keep in mind that the individual, the person that’s on your list that’s bought from you, has a different demographic from someone who’s not bought from you. They have different needs.

What I do is I send questionnaires out to the people who have bought from me. They’re different questionnaires. They’re usually a little bit longer. They’ll usually have several questions on them. Then I try to find out what these people need from me. Then what I do is I go out and create products that meet those needs.

The recent product that I released, the complete home study course that’s like 16 or 18 CDs, when I created that I created that as a result of the people that are buyers of mine who are just continually asking me, “Can you teach me everything?” So, I went ahead and recorded that. I’ve also got some of my one-on-one coaching that has developed as a result of people purchasing my complete home study course and saying, “Hey, your 18 CDs, that stuff was great, I learned a lot, but now I want you to take me through my own particular niche.” So, none of that would be possible if I hadn’t asked the people who bought my $50 products, “Hey, what are you looking for?” So that’s the idea with the product funnel.

Let me just give you an idea of a product funnel. You might have a $50 e-book, you might have a $400 CD series, you might have a $5000 complete coaching program that teaches somebody everything that they need to know and contains a lot of personal attention from you, and then on the high end you might have a $10,000 or $12,000 seminar where people will come out and spend 3 or 4 days with you, and you’ll literally show them everything that you know about your particular niche. That’s an example of a product funnel. You can make these price points anything that you want. You can make these products anything that you want. Obviously the key here is that they meet people’s needs. What are the people that are buying from you, what are their needs and how can you meet their needs?
